I recently entered in a contest to make a remix for David Latour’s song Friday Nights. I hope I make it to the finals but seeing as how I found about this very late in the game so I am doubtful of a any victory. There is always next time. I have some work to do on it so I will keep updating the song as time goes on until the 30th where I will have to submit my final draft. After that I will play around with it more and just release a final one here.
So here is a bit of information on what I had to do. First of, I had to download the samples (in this case they were just the voice clips you hear) and from there I could take it in any direction I wanted. I tried to make a drum and bass song. I don’t believe I have achieved it yet, it is not nearly fast enough but perhaps with a revision of the song I can remedy that. I have spent quite a lot of time making this song. The software tells me 5 hours and 19 minutes, in normal terms thats about 3-4 months, cause i spend 5 hours of each version and i think i have about 11. Hope you enjoy, and look out for a revision (remix…) of this song later on.
