Over the years I have been through many transaction and jumped on many bandwagons. As time went on I felt compelled to support the little guy, be it Samsung over Ipod or more recently Palm Pre over the Iphone. I always try to look the other way and purchase a unique phone, I am looking at the Nexus One, or EVO 4G right now. But now I just found out why Palm and Samsung are where they are.

My Palm Pre has severed me well but my Iphone wielding friends have not run even a fraction of the problems I have. In fact, I have had to Doctor (reformat) it a wopping 10 times while my friends have gone through maybe one refurbishing  for reasons of there own, dropping it and the like. These 10 reformats do not include the countless times I have had a Palm Store App crash my phone or the times I screwed up, or even the times that I install a patch wrong or forget to uninstall something before an update, and not even with overclocking. Those 10 Doctorings (as I call it) are within a 4 month block of purchase where I had a stock Phone and the reasons are completely related to the phone crashing itself. After that I said screw it, if it breaks good riddance and from then on started patching and over clocking till the phone screamed for mercy. 

The Iphone started looking better and better as I approached the 6 month mark, I got fed up, I hit the 14th Doctor and was frusterated beyond compare.  Infact I could say I could doctor my phone faster than an Ipad can boot. My theory is that you should not be able to remember your Palm Account Password because if you do, either your rich and I have bought every generation, or two, you have doctored it as much as I have.

I always tell my father: “Dad even if someone steals the Hyundai they will bring it back cause of all the issues.” Same thing goes for this, the person stealing it would probably beg for it to be taken back.

Like I tell my friends: “Buy an Apple Products. Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.”
