The Socom:Confrontation beta gives us a chance to play Socom before the official release of it. It gives us a preview of the game, its not just a demo. In demos you can not save, you can not upgrade much, but with a beta you get a preview of the game, which means you get to try the game. You won’t have all the access but you will be able to rank up, join a clan, and so on.

There are 4 ways to get into the beta:

1. Know someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, who works for Slant Six (devs of the game).
2. Preorder the game, if you preorder Socom you will get a key and than will be able to get into the beta.
3. Know a friend who preordered the game. When you preorder the game you will get 3 keys, or one key which works 3 time (I don’t know how that part works but I do know that you can invite 2 others to play)
4. Get Qore Episode 1 it has a automatic download of the game, but this way you can only start playing a week after the beta starts. (This is how I will be playing)

So last but not least the Release date. Socom Confrontation Beta will be released September 1 for those of you who used options 2 & 3. (Option 1 is for entry in the closed beta you are already playing it). And for those of you who used option 4, beta will be downloadable September 12. I will write a review on Socom: Confrontation when the game hits store shelves on October 14 (Source).
