Well over my years of gaming and spending many hours of my life trying to get to the next checkpoint or save point, trying to beat that next boss or get to the next place, level, or even try to unlock that armor that everyone has. I have also spent many hours watching that 4 hour extend edition movie (which I will Not name) and feeling as though I want to go to Walmart and pick up a sling shot so I can take some targets (cans) out.
When I say The way we Think I don’t mean any or most gamers look outside there window and say to them selves “Wow look at those particles in the sky… How the sun “beams” through the clouds” or “Wow look at that car out side it so nice lets shoot the driver and take it” no that will never happen. When I say that I mean….Imagine while you are playing Splinter Cell someone jumped through your window and tried to kill you. You will probably first think “Holly Cow” but then since you were just in that issue while playing Splinter Cell, you would think a little clearer then someone who does not play video games.
So for example here is what you do:
You spot a piece of glass on the floor and pick it up and hide it. But someone who is just sleeping would probably grab a bat and start swing wildly. But since you just played Splinter Cell you would say that guy was smart enough to somehow climb up to my window, he is probably carrying a gun. So you would think of what to do and plan ahead. You would first grab a piece of glass, then wait for him to try to grab you, thenĀ jab that glass in him. After you would take some more glass and run down stairs and grab a phone and call the police. Next they would use that glass and try to see if killer was coming down the stairs and try to spot if he was holding something. They would sneak around him and since he is injured run out the door. Crisis averted.
So TV and and Gaming do change the way we think and act. We are much better able to handle stress and are able to think clearly during those stressful moments. Don’t believe me go on the internet and this time search “the benefits of gaming and TV” instead of “TV and Gaming Killer training in disguise”.
You may think I am easily influenced by TV and Games, but honestly who hasn’t wanted to drive a Car after they just saw 2 Fast 2 Furious.
