Gamers don’t kill, Killers play Games

Some people think that people who play video games will become killers, which is not true by any means. So to prove this, gamers united in New York to try to stop the press from saying gamers are responsible for the shooting at Virginia Tech and the person is a hardcore gamer who got his signals crossed. However, this is not true. Of course no one would listen to the little guy. But for now, since there only 20-40 people and not millions, the exposure is going to be very small. This issue got very personal one day when my mom heard the news saying the Viginia Tech shooting was related to the killer playing games. She turned to me and said: “This is why you shouldn’t play shooting games!”. I was outraged that the media got to my mom. I had to act quick and then I came upon this video. I hope it sunk into her that I will not shoot anyone, but in the end she still keeps saying that kind of stuff. Her feelings got more alarming when she saw me playing Gear of War. I have to admit it is a pretty violent game but common sense is needed. I don’t know if she knows this or not but most people don’t have guns with chainsaws attached to them. If so, then we have troubled times ahead. Gamers don’t kill, killers play games.
