Some people, such as my parents still click a link unknowing, thinking that it is legit and true. DO YOU?

The danger of clicking on a link is not known to everyone so let me explain. There are dozens of reasons why you shouldn’t ever click on a link. You should copy and paste it into your URL. One reason is called “Man in the Middle”. I came across this scenario while suffer the web. I read an article saying “A Form of Hacking”. But to understand what a Man in the Middle does you most first understand how an email is sent. I will give an example. Lets say I send an email to a friend. First when I send that email my computer will first encode it with a very complex code that only the other persons computer will be able to decode. Like me giving you a present but raping it in a special way that only me and the friend know how to open. Then after that my computer sends it to Gmail sever from there the sever will send it to the respected person. But when a Hacker is playing Man in the Middle. What he is doing is either hacking (intercepting the email) between the sending of the email from Me to the sever or from sever to the friend. What the hacker can do is decode that email read it, and then possibly change it. But he most be careful to recode the email exactly how it was coded before he decoded it. For example if I am sending a present via mail the hacker will need to up rap the present look at it, change it, and then rap it up exactly how he found it, so my friend won’t be able to make out anything has happen. If my friend finds something wrong he will then send it back to me saying yea someone tampered with it I can’t open it. Same way, the computer will try to decode the same way if the decoding doesn’t work then the computer says “Faliure sending back to sender”. When my friend receives the email he will now click the link that the hacker has changed, but the “link text” says Google but it has actually linked it to the hackers site which adds your IP to his computer. The IP is your computers special “Address” no two computers share the same. But if the Hacker has your IP he is that much closer to getting into your computer but most firewalls warn you off and “intruder” and let you know someone is trying to take control. But I have gotten hacked once where the Hacker was so good the computer didn’t warn me and he had full control. But I was lucky enough that he didn’t do anything.

Second way is the most obvious one, the hacker him self saying he is TD Canada Trust, and gives you a link saying its to TD Canada website, but actually sends you to his site. like this for example WWW.Google.com. (This says Google but will lead you to Youtube.)

Third way is one of the most brilliant ways, yes hackers are bad but who ever came up with this one is a genius. We all know that a link can lead to a hackers site. but what if you don’t even know its happen. One way is if someone gives you a link to something very general like WWW.Google.ca. What the hacker can do is send a link to his site and the moment you make connection with his site, it will send you to WWW.Google.ca. So you will have no idea that you even went to another site. So ironically if you fast internet connection you won’t even be able to notice, even if you have a slow one the hacker doesn’t really have anything on his site. Only a code saying send “Something to the clickers computer so I can get in later”. The page is actually blank so no loading you may just think its a hiccup in Google. But you must remember Google does not have hiccups its Google they will let you know.

Next Way is just a plain and simple hack email adress. You click to read an email. But that email has something in it which gives your IP to the hacker.

Couples ways to avoid this or catch this are:

  1. Copy and paste sure you may feel lazy and not want to but imagine the work of calling you Internet Service Provider telling them you got hacked and to give you another IP.
  2. Also ever browser has URL in the top and a special kind of URL tracking the bottom left hand corner. Saying “Transferring Data ” or “Sending DATA To….”. When you click on a link that you are not sure of (even though your not supposed to) you can see where its sending you.
  3. Get the Latest Firefox. Firefox may seem weird and unusual to some cause its not Microsoft Certified. But Fire Fox has something built in that lets you know that a website is trying to get your IP, or sending you to another website without your permission. Fire Fox is the Best Browser. EVERYONE GET IT. (It is not an ad for them)
  4. Spelling mistakes. EX: TD CNADA, TD CANDA. Hackers spend many sleepless nights trying to hack. The email hack can take up to 2 lifetimes sometimes people get lucky. The Pentagon for example uses a encypstion that will take up to 100 life times to crack. And that to it changes daily or hourly I am not sure.

Follow these instruction and you should be safe and hack free. “Be safe and be a paster not a clicker.”
