Will Xbox Live Go Free?

According to Kotaku (a gaming website) Xbox 360 games which allow you to play with the PC are going to be Free to play online. So even people with Silver memberships will be able to play online but this is just a speculation. If this holds true this could mean higher sales of Shawdowrun, a game which you can play with 360 and PC, along with Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Edition and Universe at War: Earth Assault. “We’ll have to check back after the weekend ends. But bigger picture, could this — don’t get your hopes up, but it’s gotta be on everyone’s mind — mean that Xbox Live may eventually convert to a free model for all multiplayer gaming too?” as the writer said. The reason why this may be a speculation is that weekend Xbox live had their “Xbox Live Weekend” deal, and even Silver members could play on Live for every game. But the juicy bit is that the player who found this out started playing ShawdowRun Wednesday of that week, while the Live Weekend starts Friday at midnight. As a Ps3 owner this concerns me and my purchase, but if this does turn out to be more than just a rumour then maybe, just maybe, a 360 was the way to go - the only thing they need to fix is the failure rate.
